We believe in the importance of centering, building with, and nourishing young Black people in the inter-generational struggle for Black Liberation. We see our work as youth-driven, and try to embody that politic in our organizational structure and culture. Assata’s Daughters is led by young Black self-identifying women and gender nonconforming people. That is who sits on our board, who leads in our Executive team, and whom we seek to place in leadership within the organization.
